I feel rich…

Some people may not consider $50,000 in a net worth “rich”, but when you try to live on small amounts of money; have a potential to make much more money in the future if you save… then I do feel rich.

I can live for longer on $50,000 than someone who spends $50,000 in expenses in a single year.

The less money you spend, the longer you can stretch out what you already have.

If I did not have any debt coming out of school, I would be at around $100k net worth right now.

But that debt taught me a lot about myself: resilience, perseverance and just how to watch my money and save.

I’m happy in hindsight that I was put in that position. It forced me to grow in ways that may have otherwise taken years to learn.

Besides, I have my health, a good education, marketable skills that companies want to pay for, a great family, friends and a wonderful BF.

So yes. I feel rich.
