If you got $1,000,000 cash, tax-free.. what would you do with it?
I’d just save it.

You get the idea.
Then it got me thinking: Why couldn’t I think of anything to buy or do with the money?
I realized that it was because:
I am already living the life I want to live.
I get time off to do what I want.
I have no debt and I don’t owe anyone a penny.
I eat the food I want to eat.
I cook at home because I have the time and enjoy doing it.
I work when I can, but I don’t need to work very much due to low expenses.
When I want or need something I buy it.
I’m a minimalist, so I already pretty much own everything I REALLY want and need.
I travel as much as I want, and I wouldn’t start staying at 5-star hotels.
Everything with that million dollars I could think of doing, like taking a tour of Asia or Europe, was already in my plans “To Do”.
What would you do with a million dollars?
It forces your subconscious to reveal what it is you want to do.
Your priorities will automatically come out.
After you find out what you want to do, then you could start planning out how to achieve what you want to do.
If i had million dollar, i would invest it in shares.Though it is risky but this is the way to make more money.

If I had million dollars in my hand, I would definitely invest it maybe in shares or maybe in a real state business. I think real estate would be the best option for me because I think it is a fairly safe investment.
I would payoff all my debt, buy a house for our family, max out retirement fund, make a 6month emegergency fund and then put the rest to investment accounts and savings. Then go on 2 or 3 month long packpacking trip to Europe and Asia. Then come back and work~^^
This was a very motivating post and you are so right. I would quit my job in a heartbeat with a million bucks. A million isn’t even that much, but I could pay off my student loan debt, figure out what I really wanted to do, be an entrepreneur, and do something that brought me great joy and conviction. I’d get a house back home and get a nice savings account. Now there are ways to make this happen without a million bucks, and it might take years to accomplish, but better 10 has from now than never. Actually it’s 8.5 more years. That’s how long I have to pay on student loans as long as I keep this job. With a non public service job, it would be a lot longer.
I would buy my dream house. Nothing too extravagant, but we are in the process of looking, so I would just buy it in cash instead of financing it.
