Women, no.
CVs with pics of attractive men garnered more callbacks from employers than CVs with none — and nearly twice the callbacks of resumes showing plain-looking men.
But for women, CVs with photos (whether of attractive or plain faces) yielded lower callback rates than those without.
The researchers cite female jealousy of attractive women in the workplace.
Interesting, and a bit sad for me to read about how the gender of the HR rep can make a difference in whether or not you as a man or woman, gets hired. :\
This is no big surprise however, I’ve read lots of stories in the past about how being too pretty can sometimes work against you as a woman, but if you’re a handsome man, it’s a cake walk.
