It’s no secret that Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities in Asia, now. BF and I wish we could go back but we’re planning other trips, which means we may not go to Hong Kong for another year or two. Or longer.
Alas!
Anyway, I think the minimum is a week to visit Hong Kong, but I’d have loved 2-3 weeks or even am month!
To get into what Hong Kong looks like to me in a nutshell, it’s in this shot:
Wow awesome pics and descriptions, I feel like I have been to Hong Kong now, I hate the crowd though so not sure I would go there. But thanks so much for sharing these pics.
I love the energy and the crowds, like in NYC 🙂
I just came back from Hong Kong two weeks ago and already want to go back! We also went to Dalian and Shanghai, but HK was definitely my favorite. I wish I had known about that sticky candy before I went. That would have been perfect to bring back to the office (instead of the more “exotic” Chinese candy that I bought in Shanghai). I had some of the best macarons that I’ve ever tasted in HK and surprisingly Dalian. I loved the iced tea that they sold at stores/open stands as well as Hong Kong milk tea and french toast.
This looks wonderful. I have friends who have family in Hong Kong and according to them, eating fresh is a way of life there. Instead of doing a grocery run each week, families often shop everyday and eat the fresh meat and produce that same day. I would be all over the seafood too!
I loved Hong Kong! My husband and I stayed in Kowloon and loved it. While I love Paris, I have to say that I prefer Hong Kong. There was so much to do, so many people and endless amounts of food, shopping and activities.
I lived in HK for 5 months and it was WONDERFUL. I love your pictures – it really takes me back!
Gotta go to the Tsukji fish market in Tokyo. The sushi there was AMAZING – though I bet quite a bit more pricey!
Oh, it all looks so wonderful. Especially the sushi.
