Hong Kong was a lot of fun to visit and to SHOP! π
I cannot say that I bought very much in any of these markets (I’m a freak about quality and fit for clothing these days), but I enjoyed visiting the markets, nonetheless.
Lots of cheap clothing (not my style) and beautiful scarves (yes please!)
Of course, the fake designer bags are all over the place. Fake Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch….
I didn’t buy any purses because frankly, I am not interested in fake designer bags and I don’t want to buy something I don’t truly, utterly, absolutely LOVE.
What I did buy, were gifts. Scarves for my mom to keep her warm in winter. π
I would absolutely go back to Hong Kong. Any day. Any time.
I miss Hong Kong haven’t been there in a while. I feel the same way about Ladies Market, although I like going to look I’m not into buying fake & quality not good either. I went with co-workers who were interested in fake designer bags & if they know your interested there’s a special apartment they take you to that is full of bags…actually scary wouldn’t do that again as they get pretty mad if you don’t buy.
Isn’t Hong Kong great? I can’t imagine living there though, seems like too much of a rat race.
I’d love to live there for a year or less.. any more, and I couldn’t take
it. Too much pollution for me. π
glad u loved hong kong. come back again soon!
I WILL! π I loved it.
Wow! So many colors! Now I know why my friends all love Hong Kong.Β
However, I was always told to be wary of quality when shopping in Asia, and you have just confirmed that. I’m Chinese myself, but since I don’t buy many things aside from food, I might as well just buy long-lasting high quality things. But then again, you can’t find purses with traditional Chinese patterns on them in American stores. *sigh*
I’m very wary of quality… but it depends on how much you pay for
something. A purse is just $10, then if it rips, you fix it or toss it..
then again, I’m not really into disposable goods nor fake designer stuff..
sooo..
But the purses are of decent quality, you just have to check each one
(zippers too) to make sure they don’t break after a few zips and the threads
don’t come out
