Normally I’d leave all of this until my monthly budget roundup, but they’re starting to pile up in my inbox, so here you go 🙂
Before we begin, this has been bugging me for a while.
On Top Chef Masters episode 2, Kelis showed up to judge. Bla bla bla she was mean and there are a lot of dirty jokes about meatballs, but all I could think was WHO MAKES THAT DRESS SHE IS WEARING?
Anyone?
THANKS!!

We have a family that is spending $38,200 per year.
The family’s income is $21,700 per year.
The family adds $16,500 in credit card debt every year in order to pay its bills.
After a long and difficult debate among family members, keeping in mind that it was not going to be possible to borrow $16,500 every year forever, the parents and children agreed that a $380/year premium cable subscription could be terminated.
So now the family will have to borrow only $16,120 per year.

Very cool. 🙂 “Original Photoshop”. It is kind of sad, but not surprising.

VIDEOS
Spike Jonze presents Lil Buck (an L.A. street dancer) and Yo-Yo Ma, the most amazing cellist I’ve ever heard 🙂
This is an awesome mix of modern and classical. Lil Buck is dancing to the live accompaniment of Yo-Yo Ma.
Suwappu augmented reality
Frankly, I think you need to be on drugs to understand this. 🙂
I didn’t really know what it was at first, but I saw cute little toy animal figurines and I was sold on watching the video ;P
“These cute and interactive little toys are called Suwappas and can be “brought to life” by activating an app. Simply point your mobile device at one of the Suwappas and, although it may look like it’s sat there minding its own business, you can suddenly see it talking, moving, changing its features and even its surroundings all through your phone.”
25 ways to wear a scarf!
Awesome new style blog by a gorgeous girl named Wendy. Her boyfriend (I think?) outdid himself with the planning of making such a creative and fantastic video. If not for the style idea, watch for the artistic creativity. Genius!
(Infinity looks repeated to me, but apparently an Infinity scarf vs. Infinity DIY is different.)
Wow, Kelis looks… human.
OMG I didn’t know there were so many different ways to tie a scarf! And names for them to boot! She’s so pretty! Great video!
Tell me about it. I need to study that video again.
The scarves were awesome! I really liked seeing the various ways to tie a scarf. My options currently were woefully inadequate, but you feel pretty dumb saying, “how do all these girls make their scarves look so nice?”
However, I also find that I get really hot when I wear a scarf, so it’s probably not the right look for me 😛
I think out of the 25, I’d have to pick 3-4 to practice tying (yeah.. how
nerdy is that) to get that look.
I always want to stop people and ask: HOW DID YOU TIE THAT? SHOW ME! but
then I’m afraid they’ll run away
I don’t see what the difference between Infinity and DIY Infinity is either? But other than that it’s a wonderful video – and practical too (not another useless cat video 😉 )
I think the Infinity one is that you buy it already in a circle, but the DIY
Infinity is where you tie the ends together 🙂
LOL @ Useless cat videos — *makes a mental note to not post too many of
those* — 😉
If you click through to youtube wendy explains in the “more info” section that the difference is about how the scarf is folded:
The Infinity is folded along the diagonal while the DIY Infinity is folded in half, horizontally. The Infinity starts off as a triangle, whereas the DIY Infinity begins as a rectangle.
I didn’t catch the difference either until I read that! Hope it helps!
Ohhh! That does make more sense. Thanks.
My favorite is the scarf video. That rocks!
It is such a creative, beautiful video. They really spent a lot of time
working out the storyboard and planning the whole thing.
Thanks kindly 🙂
I’d really love to see how BF would dress me! I don’t think it would be too bad…
I think most guys are pretty conservative 🙂 Dresses seem to be a big thing
with them… or getting girls to look more girly
