I always find and use American ones, but it’s nice to find a Canadian one for a change.
This one is from Royal Bank Canada and it still doesn’t account for gender and/or age, but it’s still something.
I also like that you can choose different provinces to see the changes.
Note: You have to use the sliders at the bottom to select the amounts, you can’t type in the numbers in the fields!

I look forward to when they put more detailed Canadian comparisons online. My eyes bugged out for a moment when I saw the results. I had to remind myself (like you mentioned) that they weren’t accounting for age anywhere.
It is interesting though that I have less credit card debt than the average Canadian single. I’ll take my one plus there 🙂
If only someone would come up with something that took into account age in
addition to income and so on.
Wonder if there are stats like that out there.
I’m almost certain StatsCan has that information, its just that no one has created a calculator for it yet.
