I’m doing a book giveaway for “Psych yourself Rich!”
I haven’t read it, but then again, I don’t really read personal finance how-to books any more.
So instead of taking away a free book from someone who actually really needs it out there, they’re going to give a copy away to one of my readers!
It’s written by a woman named Farnoosh Torabi (isn’t she pretty?) and if you are a Gail Vaz-Oxlade fan, she is along the same vein of tough love, to get people (particularly women, although her advice spans across all ages and genders) in charge of their finances.
The basic premise of the book is How to Take Charge of your Finances 101:
-
STOP AGONIZING–AND START ACTING
Overcome the behaviors that keep you from achieving your fi nancial, personal, and professional goals -
ASSERT YOURSELF, TAKE CONTROL, AND STOP SHORTING YOURSELF
Shift the power balance in all your financial transactions -
GET MORE OUT OF THE MONEY YOU ALREADY HAVE
Make more sensible decisions about what to buy and how to invest -
LIVE YOUR PASSION: IDENTIFY WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU AND GO AFTER IT
Learn what it takes to succeed on your own terms, make the commitment, and do it
I hear she has some real-life examples in there that will keep anyone (male or female) interested, and if you want a taste of the book, check out the Amazon link located below to Search Inside and read a couple of pages.
(Note: If you do decide to buy the book instead of waiting and entering the giveaway, I get a bit of money from Amazon if you use this link to buy it).
3 WAYS TO WIN:

Would love to win this book. I love to read different opinions on personal finance. As a family with two young children we are trying to turn ourselves around financially and make a better life for ourselves and our kids.
I need this book….ensure that I am making wise financial decisions….as a young professional I'm currently finding it very difficult to think of saving!
I've got the goal of getting out of $70,000 of Student Loan and Credit Card Debt in 3 years or less (mostly student loans) — and I need all the help I can get!
I would like to win this book because I like learning about personal finance and different people's opinions about it.
I'd love to win this book to learn more about personal finance. I've taken steps to track spending, save at least 30% of each paycheck, and am contributing to my RRSP on a regular basis. I want to know what else I can do, and how to do it 🙂
Thanks for this giveaway!
I blogged about this! 🙂 I would love to win this book to learn more on improving my personal finance (especially in the investing part!) HURRAY to the road to financial freedom! 🙂
My recent post Thursday Giveaways!
I would love to win this book … 4 years ago, I was in debt, had no savings, and felt so helpless. Now, I've pushed past that and have $15,000 in net assets. I desperately want to supercharge myself to the next level, and need all the help I can get. I think it's going to take a real mental shift, a new neurological programming to force myself beyond my current limits.
I'd love a book like this to use my own mind to create success where no success could previously be found.
I need to win because it has psych in the title and so does my name 🙂 Realistically though, I like to read books aimed at different groups of people, because my clients often ask for recommendations for books to help with issues like money.
I want/need this book because I have been struggling with financial issues for years. Since beginning to read your blog (over a year ago) I have really started to turn my financial life around, but I definitely could use all of the motivation I can get!
My recent post movie review- the town
I would love to win this book so that I a fire can be lit under my but to get out of my $20K in debt. I am a single mom to a 4 year old and I do not want her to repeat this cycle. My mom was horrible at saving and managing her money and now I am doing the same and it has to stop…I am very overwhelmed but I want to do better.
I'd like to win this book and improve my personal financial situation.
I need this book! I loved her on Bank of Mom and Dad & would love to read her book for more insight.
I would love this book because I am now supporting additional family members but I still need to pay off my own personal debt. A little guidance would be awesome and very mch appreciated!!
Simple I need to "learn" more about this:
"LIVE YOUR PASSION: IDENTIFY WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU AND GO AFTER IT
Learn what it takes to succeed on your own terms, make the commitment, and do it"

I’d love to win this book for my younger sister and myself! We’re both students, so this book would be a useful guide and motivator with respect to setting ourselves up for future financial success.
And also because we’re both financial-newbies! This book would help a ton.
So that I know how to better budget my money and take care of my finance
I'd love to win! We were kindly handed 20% "temporary" pay cuts at work about a year & a half ago. I was doing good, building savings and all. But now I've depleted that savings. I need something to help me sort out my current financial situation and kick my butt into gear.
This is completely off topic, so feel free to delete this comment if you want to: Farnoosh Torabi has a similar face to the girl who plays Quinn in glee… who is also very pretty.
Oh my goodness she does!!!!
I would love to be entered into the drawing for the book – as I need that extra to push to really get committed to figuring out my finances!

There you go, proof of my tweet out. Why do I need/want this book? Quite simple: Not only is my own financial life giving me with the feeling of desire (for a better financial health), but as I'm a blogger I can write a review of the book and share key information with my readers as well. In the hopes of reaching even more people out there.
…that, and I'm all about "mind" things… should prove a VERY interesting read that will be passed on through BookCrossing.
