… but why the heck is it NOT expandable with an SD card!?
*face palm*
I’m even willing to pay their massive $379 price tag, because I wanted something under $1000 (yes, under $1000), that was at least 9.7″, and could hold all of my graphic novels (which are all in PDF).
(No I don’t want an iPad. Much too heavy & not practical for my life.)
I just need way more than just 2 – 4 GB of space.
Amazon, for the love of all things sacred, PLEASE make your next version expandable with an SD card!
It is cute though, no?
Hey FB, you have mentioned more than once that you have nearly all your book collection in digital format. Did you buy these books in digital format? Where did you find the pdf versions of graphic novels? I have been considering the Kindle for a long time now, but that hefty price tag has proven hard to get over. Plus I was thinking may be I could just get a tiny netbook and use that as a pdf reader. Anyways, I will really appreciate some ideas on what sites are best to purchase digital books etc. Thanks!
PDF versions of the graphic novels can be found free on a lot of forums from die-hard translators (I still also own the hard copies of all the manga I have on PDF, by the way…)
I think a couple of publishers have started to sell the volumes as well — which I am TOTALLY excited about, because I want to start reading even more.
As for book in e-book format, I don’t technically have my whole library in e-book format yet. I am still waiting to buy the darn reader… but I read a lot of free books from the Gutenberg Project (lots of classics) and if you poke around the web, a lot more free books are offered.
To buy digital books, I’d suggest googling that. I haven’t gotten to that point yet, because I’m sticking to free text and PDF files offered online, and I haven’t bought an e-reader yet..
Good luck 🙂
I've been debating between getting this one and the nook. I really can't decide, maybe I'll get both, but yea the SD card option would be nice.
