Felt like cooking today. Have been really listless and bored lately.
Spent time preparing and cooking since 9 a.m., and just finished (1.30 p.m.), which includes buying the chicken, preparing everything, cooking, eating, finishing cooking the rest of the food, and cleaning up.
Yum?
I think so. BF kept sneaking bites of chicken. I think this will be a good staple dish to master so that I can give him a break once in a while.
I’d give a recipe, but I don’t measure anything.
Here’s a rough idea:
– Rice Noodles
– Scallions (Green Onions)
– Onions
– Mushrooms
– Chicken (4 thick chicken thighs makes about 3 meals for 2 people if you include rice and noodles as a side)
I cut all the chicken meat off the bone, made them into small chunks and marinated them in this:
– Soy sauce
– Garlic
– Pepper
– Sesame Oil
– Flour
– Oyster Sauce
You can pan fry, grill or bake each piece individually.
Et voila.
That looks so good. Have you read the Stone Soup blog by Jules? I like recipes with minimal ingredients. 🙂
