CHECK IT OUT! My $13,164.45 debt is about to be cleared in a week.
I cannot wait for the money to transfer and for me to finally proclaim that I am DEBT FREE.
On another note, I got a personal call from someone in England who sounded so desperate on the phone to get me to move there for work that he called me at 5 a.m. EST, 6 a.m. EST and 12.42 EST until he got me on the phone.
I thought it was my alarm ringing at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. and kept shutting it off, until I realized it was from an actual telephone call and then I felt bad when I awoke from my sleepiness.
Anyway, I politely turned him down, but the point of this little rambling note is..
ENGLISH ACCENTS ARE SO EFFING HOT THAT I ALMOST SAID YES TO MOVING
Even just talking to the guy on the phone, without seeing his picture, or seeing him in person, I am melting like a candle just hearing him speak.
Accents. A total chick magnet. And if I went to the U.K., I guess my Canadian accent would be a turn on there too. At least, I’d hope so!
My ex-husband was (presumably still is) English. Many English accents are lovely, but they don’t make me swoon anymore.
AW… thanks everyone!! π
Even if a Canadian accent isn’t as hot as an English one. Maybe it’s hotter in Europe.
*hugs to Dolly for being close to being paid off*
gilda; Thanks for the inspiration π
i just wanted to say that you’re so amazing. you cleared your debt in such a short amount of time! the more i read your feed in my mailbox, the more amazing i think you are. you really are fabulous. and i think after you clear off your debt this time, you need to change your name from fabulously broke to just darn fabulous. π congrats! i’m so happy for you. i’m broke myself and there’s so many things i need to learn from you.
on a lighter note, british accents are hot. HOT!!! HAWT! f-ing hot is exactly right!
We are both so close to the final debt payments. We are awesome!!
My bf is English. π I love, love, love his accent (even after 4+ years)… though I’m having a bad influence on him… his accent is being Americanized! Ack!
My former bf was Canadian… no offense, but the accents definitely do not compare. :p
Ahhhh I online dated and then met in person a verrrrrry attractive English guy once. *sigh* That accent is so awesome. It’s almost as good as a Texas boy…when they say ‘ma’am’…*melts*
AND – I’m SO HAPPY for you getting rid of the debt! Aren’t you just about peeing your pants?!?!? Congrats!!!
Congrats on your success. I came across your blog today, and will add it to my RSS. Can you recommend any other Canadian finance bloggers? I subscribe to so many that discuss Roths and 401Ks which only make my eyes glaze over.
I also went through your 6-part investment primer and found it very encouraging. I am beginning my massive debt reduction plan in 2009 ($18 000 CC debt + about $40 000 in Ontario/Canada student loans) and hope to begin investing within the next couple of years. Do you know if PC has investment, or should I stick with one of the Big Banks?
Debt Free soon !! How exciting!!!!! can’t wait to read what it feels like and how you celebrate π
oh and I agree about the accents…
Hi there-sorry to hear you’re not coming to my part of the world my dear!! Well done and a big woo-hoo on debt free day, a massive achievement!!
To you, the wonderful Canadian blogger,
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for your inspirational words.
You are a gem!
